WINE CHARACTERISTICS
01

Tasting notes

It reveals a very intense red colour. On the nose it shows an elegantly austere profile: dark liquorice notes mingle with deep aromas of black fruit in spirit. On the palate the sip unfolds broad and majestic, revealing a perfect harmony and an endless persistence.

Food pairings

Excellent at the end of a meal on its own as a meditation wine, it offers its maximum potential paired with dark chocolates and rich cocoa desserts. Serving temperature: 14-16°C.

Vinification

The grapes dry directly on the vine, with a consequent delayed manual harvest. After gentle pressing, the wine undergoes fermentation and maceration for 20 days, then matures at length in traditional 50-litre wooden barrels named “caratelli”.

Province of Pescara

Territory

The soils are medium-textured tending to clay with west exposure. Training system: awning and espalier. Usually late harvest.
