The natural scenery

Known as the “green lung of Europe,” Abruzzo stretches from the heart of the Apennine mountain range (Gran Sasso, Maiella) to the Adriatic coast, offering a predominantly mountainous and wild natural landscape. It provides scenic natural trails that pass through ancient villages with significant historical and artistic value.

Montepulciano grape variety

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is an indigenous grape variety that adapts well to various types of soil, particularly sandy and limestone ones. It is resistant to diseases and bad weather, which is why it is cultivated on large vineyard areas throughout the Abruzzo region. Wines made from this grape have an intense ruby-red color, with fruity and spicy aromas that tend to age well in the bottle, acquiring notes of honey, vanilla, and leather.
